I could have saved much by just buying the H20 brand and not the other 3 cheaper ones. The first one has a timer which is a plus for me,but with a year the wiring burned the inner parts, blah blah blah I brought 3 cheaper ones thank goodness I upgraded and got the warranties. So I waisted much time buying cheaper brands. I think the top coils are actually stainless steel inside too, wow, so worth it, I was worried it might be copper, you would not expect it to leach much, but with distilled water under temperature, SS is better.I am one of those people who believes in spending money on prevention, I do not do low quality cheap, I plan to use their filters too since I am so impressed with the build quality.There is no way one of those pitchers with the many stage filters will ever come close to the effectiveness of this unit ( from an engineering stand point how could it ) , sad that people waste their money on those then balk at the cost of something like this which will last many years, I would not be surprised if this lasted 8-10 years.
