Set the pieces, let the glue go for 24 hours, and it's more than secure for my 1 year old. The are a little more bulky than the older style push down tabs, but these hold the doors nearly shut and have the bonus of coming off when I'm done without screwholes in my wood. The only issue I've had is that the magnetic keys have come apart- nothing that a little glue doesn't fix, but it was annoying when it happened.
