A: hi, I suspect the wax used is a sort of dubbin, i.e. a mix of beeswax, tallow, and oil. I am using it to line a guitar leather case (and as you, I wanted a 100% natural old school product), so I am not sure how it will behave when camping... you probably want to ask the manufacturer if still in doubt. Bought both black and blue and unless they were side by side it was impossible to distinguish between them. The blue is MUCH darker than the picture indicates.

The image and description show / describe blue but this fabric isn't even navy, it is black with only the edge showing a hint of navy. Biggest con I've seen in a while. Unfortunately I didn't worry too much about the colour as I wasn't worried if blue or navy but wasn't expecting black.... Don't order unless you're happy with BLACK.
