This 5 foot by 7 foot sheet of Cyanotype Pretreated Fabric by Jacquard makes producing Mural sized Prussian Blue Monochromatic prints easier than ever before. Simply place object, film negative or your body on top of fabric and expose to sunlight or UV. After exposure, print should be processed in a tray of cool water and allowed to air dry. Cyanotype is an antique photographic process developed in the mid-19th century for reproducing photographs. Easy to use, these pre-treated mural sized fabric sheet makes an ideal perfect classroom or group activity. Made in the USA.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this fabric cotton?**
A: The box says it's cotton sateen fabric....It has a very nice hand after sun printing and washing it.

**Q: Can you wash the fabric after it’s done? Or will washing it undo the work?**
A: I have not washed mine for I used it for crafts to frame.

**Q: Typically how long does the exposure take for this fabric?**
A: It depends on the time of year. I exposed mine in the spring and it took about 20 minutes. You should be able to see the exposure happening so when the green/yellow color turns silvery it's done. I exposed mine a little bit past this point for good measure.

**Q: How much will this fade over time? Can you wash in the washing machine?**
A: I have not yet used this fabric however from the instructions on back it seems that the longer it is in the sun the darker the blue will become. My assumption is that it would not fade any faster than another type of fabric that would be in the sun. The back of box says" Cyanotype prints are archival. Launder in cold water using non- phosphate detergents, as yellowing may occur if the fabric is exposed to the phosphates or alkaline environments. Use care while handling cyanotype fabric, as sweat and hand oils may also cause discoloration."

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful, large, effective, fun

I needed this fabric for a textile project and it did not disappoint. The results were beautiful and unexpected. In some ways this came out better than the smaller fabric pieces , which I bought from the same company. I did not cut it up before use but rather used it whole. The fabric is thick but you can still get a needle through it for hand sewing and embroidery. I might need to use it with thinner fabrics if I want to save my hands.
