I didn't event try to cut it. For $30 its done a good job for me. Haven't lost a package to thieves since getting it. I think theives just want to grab and run and not waste time trying to cut into it especially if they can't see the box to see what it might be. **Q: Has anyone figured out how to not have your code showing when it's unlocked? The tumblers lock position when it's unlocked it seems.** A: I know what you mean about the tumblers locking. Guess I have been counting on the delivery man to give it a twirl before they leave it. I think I like Tessa's solution better. **Q: What if the porch pirate has a wire cutter or bolt cutter or angle cutter?** A: Our porch pirate recently got snagged on a nail in the basement- and tore easily! I thought it would be a worthwhile purchase. I know people who have been pirated of their packages and I didn't want that to happen to me. I thought I was being proactive. The problem is, despite the bag being out there, the delivery people don't/won't use it. I come home to the bag untouched and my package on the porch. So for me, it has been a waste of money. It's not the bag's fault. I needed something that would deter the opportunistic thief but not spend a fortune and this fit the bill. The bag is quite spacious and weather proof. The one drawback is the lock that comes with it to secure the zipper to the bag is very small and hard to manipulate. A couple of times, I found the delivery person didn't bother to lock the zipper to the bag and I suspect it's because it's not quick and easy to do, Those guys are on the clock and don't have time to mess with something like that.
