I've had slip-ons, tie oxfords, and sandals, and I've always worn a size 9.5. You could count on that consistency of size. That is, until I ordered these. The width was fine, but they ran a bit short. I had to return my first pair, and thankfully, that was a simple process with no problems at all. So I've ordered a size 10, and all is well. These are super comfortable, super-cute shoes, just be sure to go up a half size. Wide in the toe box so it doesn't feel cramped, but narrow enough at the heel that it doesn't slip or rub. Comfortable from the beginning, no blisters and no break-in period needed. This is my 2nd pair of this shoe; after a couple heavy-use years with the first pair they are finally starting to look worn so I thought it would be good to have a backup. :) Slip on is easier than lace up to get in and out when it's time to walk the dog. Waterproofness has so far stood the test of the soggy Pacific Northwest winters. Stable, grippy sole provides enough traction so that I can usually hold my ground and not get dragged when my dog sees a rabbit he wants to chase. Looks nice enough to wear out & about.
