Better off replacing than fixing. **Q: Water resistance... 5 atm what is that.. is it really water resistant?** A: First off, don't take it diving; water resistant is not waterproof. Now for a direct answer: "atm" stands for atmosphere. An atmosphere=33 FSW (feet of seawater). So 5 atm = 165'. "ata" (atmospheres absolute) would include the atmosphere of air (14.7 psi) bearing down on that body of water, for a total of 6 ata.
