The product features 12 channels, 4 amp per channel, 40 Amp over all load, 2 x 5 Pin XLR connectors and RJ11 connector for use with NJD hand controllers. Review: Excellent versatile product - It is a bit bigger than I expected, but a very flexible low power dimmer. It is ideal for flexible control of my PAR 56s My only quibbles are the fixing hole at the back is the same diameter as the hole in the circuit board above it so it is not clear how you are supposed to get a bolt or screw through and a cable grip which is too small for 4mm TRS which means I had to insert a gland for the input cable, Review: Well engineered, good for a larger number of smaller loads. Triacs rather low rating. - There seem to be two versions of this product which look very different - see photos. This review is for the older, boxy design - purchased secondhand on ebay. The aluminium and steel case is robust. The only control is a simple mechanical pushbutton switch / indicator for the DMX start address. There is an LED that lights red when no DMX signal is present. Internal LEDs follow the dimmer setting of each channel, but are obscured by the case. DMX in/out is on 5 pin XLRs, also on an internal terminal block and (presumably) on the RJ11 connector. The dimmer is designed to be hard wired, you will need to cable directly to the dimmer or fit connectors on flying leads. The input terminals are large to accommodate the potentially large total load. There are only seven cable entry points, I drilled extra holes to take one cable per channel (and to fit proper cable glands), the output and DMX in and out. Cables should be tied away from the potentially warm triacs. The triacs appear to be somewhat under-rated to deal with inrush (8A for 4A rated load per channel), but they are fitted in screw termianl connectors so could easily be replaced or uprated.
