I use it to make human-grade dog food for my 3 canines. It is very well made of high-quality rust resistant, stainless steel. The bottom is much thicker and denser than the sides, making for a very stable base that allows good heat distribution across the entire bottom. It comes with a top that fits perfectly. Although the handles are stainless as well, I was able to grab the pot from the stove without pot holders. Cleanup is a snap as well, even with stickier foods like rice and salmon.
