Great product. Shapes falafels nicely. Purchased dozens of these and have made quite literally hundreds thousands of falafels with these in a commercial setting. Thumb hurts like mad with that small lever poking your digit several hundred times a day. Easy to disassemble and clean, just make sure you don't drop and lose the small parts. This is a necessity as mix can and does get behing the plate and into the mechanism. Maybe not too much of an issue for home/casual use, still hygenically necessary. All metal construction is a plus for cleaning and hygiene Keep the spring oiled for good mechanical function. Keep the main surfaces lightly oiled for good falafel separation. If your falafels fall apart, it's not because of this device, it is your recipe. The plate has fallen off a small number of these. Could be faulty construction, could be rough handling. For me they have made their value back a thousand times over, so not too much of a concern. For casual/home use, disassemble first for cleaning before first use and make sure all parts are solid and secure.
