We didn't want to travel with a carseat, and so we purchased this one ahead of time to be ready for us when we arrived. The person picking us up at the airport had it in the car, but didn't know how to install it. Therefore, once making it to the car and loading up all of the luggage, I set out to the "easy" task of installing the new carseat. It functions a bit differently than other carseats that we've owned (other brands), and so I glanced at the instructions and got to work putting it in the car. What should have taken a few minutes turned into a 30 minute battle between me and this crazy carseat! You see, it was designed in such an awesome way that things are hidden and tucked away. This is great once you know where they are, but it sure took me a while to find it all. Once I finally figured out where the hidden button was to loosen the harness straps, then life was good and we were well on our way. (Even reading that section of the instructions and looking at the pictures didn't make sense at first. Maybe it would have to someone else, but I was too exhausted from travel for it to make sense to me at the moment.) Ever since that initial struggle, it has been much easier to use and we've enjoyed it. It is very well built (and heavy), but also comfortable for our son. I highly recommend the product, but I suggest giving yourself some time to figure it out prior to needing it if you are new to the Britax brand like I was. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely great safety features. Now that my son was Five and needed the booster seat but still with the 5 point harness I though I could go with a cheaper brand that would go all the way to the single booster seat. The nautilus was roomy and provided cool fun features but when it came to quality, I felt like I could break the seat with my bear hands, much less what could happen on impact with another vehicle! I took it right back to the store and went back to Britax! SAFTEY FIRST!Thank you Amazon for that timely Britax sale in February!I did not give it five stars because it is not as wide as the Nautilus, and a bit snug at the base buckle, especially for boys.
