It has a very nice beam shape on the road and is ideal for riding at night time or in the dark. It acts very much like the dipped beam headlamp on a car and shines on the road a decent distance ahead and if mounted correctly will not be dazzling at all for oncomming cars and pedestrians.I find a lot of super bright bike lights are just a wide spread of bright light and can be blinding for people coming the other way, this does it properly and makes the biker very visible, while providing a great amount of light, decent battery life and sensible programmes,The only thing that really lets it down for me is the feature that turns the light off when not moving, it's not nearly sensitive enough and unless you're cycling or moving quite vigorously, it turns itself off constantly thinking that you're no longer on your bike.
