Traditional potting soil retains too much water to allow your bonsai to thrive and grow. DIRECTIONS FOR REPOTTING YOUR BONSAI: How often you should repot depends on timing, the size of the pot and tree species of your Bonsai. Holds moisture well in winter. I only have to wet it once a week. It's easy to pour in and fill 2 of my bonsi containers. Doesn't weight to much or make a mess.
