This new mouthpiece is superb. High c# is pure and clear, whereas the lowest notes an are deep and full. I had heard that modern Links were poorly finished and inconsistent. Should have listened. A little dressing and it plays ok now. Looks like plastic not HR. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Free blowing, good tone but not radically different sound to my Yahama 4C *by M***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 February 2023* I tested this on a 30 year old Buffet Crampon Evette which is a student horn but nicely set up and it plays well. I don't but it does. I usually play a Yamaha 4C on 2.5 reeds so this was a difference in tip opening (.070" compared to 0.067) and I could feel the difference at first but I soon got used to it. Here are the reeds that I tried:Rico 2.0 - I thought that I would try a softer reed since it is a bigger tip opening but the 2.0 had me bending notes that I didn't mean to bend.Rico 2.5 - Yup, worked well with that. Sounded a bit warmer and darker than the 4C on the same type reedLegere 2.0 synthetic - Legere reeds tend to be a bit stiffer than the number and this felt a bit more work than I would have expected. The tone was a little clinical for me.Legere 2.75 - Unplayable unless I blasted air through the horn like I was angry with it. I hadn't expected that much difference.Boston Nexus Elite 2.5 - Sounds good. It took me a little while to get used to the mouthpiece but a warmer and bigger sound than the 4C. Not radically different but an improvement.
