I don’t like change but my wife got me this for an early Christmas gift. As far as longevity I can’t say. I hope it is as tuff as my pipeliner. I really hope not that is what makes it so comfortable. It’s light, already chopped and has a flip front. I put the same brand auto gold lens in it. Which by the way is awesome I’ve been using it for almost a year. They should send me some stuff to try out. I’m rough on stuff if they make a good product I can find out. I really hope that it lasts cause I really like it. I’ve only used it for three days. I will definitely give an update in a few months. Update Well it has been 6 months now. I weld 6 days a week. And this hood has held up extremely well. The headgear I was worried about no issues whatsoever. I added some more pictures to show how the pain isn’t like a Honeywell hood. You weld in a pipeliner for 10 minutes with a 6010 and it looks like you’ve had it a year. This one I have mainly burnt 1/8 6010 5P+ and 3/32 7018. All positions and it still looks really good. I still can’t stress enough. This is the most comfortable hood I have ever worn. I find myself still walking around with it on because I forgot it was there. It may not be for everyone. I saw one review that said you can’t wear it on a hard hat. Fortunately I don’t have to wear one. So I can’t say that for sure. And for the people who need the top of the line Keep up with the Joneses, then this probably isn’t for you but if you want a damn comfortable tough hood, not a lot of money at all this is it.
