It is exactly what I wanted. I will be traveling from warm weather (tee shirt and sandals) to weather that is rainy and cold and I need something to pack that doesn't take up weight or room and will keep me warm. This is perfect!! I am 5'7, 138# and my coat says XL on the inside. (Apparently that is XXXL, Asian size.) I read the reviews and saw that a woman who was 5'7 and weighed 140# ordered the US XL, so I did too. It is just what I wanted in a fit! The US XL (that I got) fits well over a sweater. It is perfect! It does not look fitted as in the picture, but perhaps if I had ordered my true size and it fit more snugly, it would look fitted. I am happy with the fit and look. My husband says it does not look like a tent or a sack, so that's a positive review! The length is perfect too - as it comes mid thigh, which is exactly what I wanted for sitting on benches, busses, etc. Sleeves are nice and long, past my wrist but not too long. I wore it today to check warmth. I had only a long sleeve tee shirt underneath. Temperature is 40* light rain and wind. My hands got cold but I put them in the side zip pockets and I was very warm. Great wind breaker. The hood is weird, I will admit. It is gathered up around the top. But I do not like a small hood that does not cover all my head. And I don't like a hood that falls too far forward and limits my vision. This does come forward, but if I push it up, it stays there. I have long hair and often wear a clip, which this hood will accommodate. And I don't like my hair whipping around in the wind, so I do need a hood that will stay in place. This will work well. The collar looks nice when the hood is not up. The fabric does feel thin (as some reviewers complained about). But it does not feel like it is going to rip easily. The thin fabric is why I ordered this. I do not want the bulk of heavier material. All in all, I am very happy with this coat and will use it for travel to cooler places. I may end up wearing it more here at home too, as it is not bulky and very comfortable. It fit as expected and I have had no issues with it. It is very compact and insanely warm. Those are good attributes. The bad points; the zipper gave me problems from the beginning, one pocket got a hole & had to be stitched after two weeks of wear. The worst point is that the little tiny feathers come through the inside of the coat & stick/embed in whatever I am wearing. I wear black often & thousands of tiny white feathers all over my clothes was not a good look.
