Any leaking around the threads of the cap?** A: It works great, with no leaking around the threads of the cap. I have had leakage with other bottles, but these were great. Maple syrup is the main thing I use this bottle for. **Q: What is the total height of the bottle with the cap?** A: It is about 8 1/4" tall with the cap on. **Q: A review states these are marketed as hdpe but the bittome says ldpe with a recycling code of 3 which isnt safe for food storage?** A: Thank you for your question and sorry for the confusion. In order to create the leak-free lids for these bottles, we made some modifications to a mold of an existing bottle that was being used for other purposes. The mold for these 20 oz. bottles was based off of the mold from the previous bottle and we forgot to change the specifications on bottom from the previous mold to the current 20 oz. bottle specifications (HDPE, recycling code #2). The bottles are made out of HDPE plastic and are safe for food storage.
