Drill out the damaged area. In the past I just bought an extra dremel tools every once in awhile but then you end up with a bunch of drills that you don't need when you just need one for the extra battery. The battery is the same cost as the Dremel tool with a battery. But these do just as good they take a little bit too long to charge. They do charge other reviewers say that they don't ever stop blinking on the charger. You just got to leave them on there longer then the one that comes with the drill. I do not agree with other reviewers that it does seem a little loose in the drill. But it does a lock in it does not fall out it stays in place it doesn't lose connection. It's just a little loose and it seems to be in the clipse. But overall the performance is there it has a little bit better battery life than the one that comes from Dremel with the tool. I also like having 2 so I can just swap out the dieing one with a fresh one and keep on working.
