They are much too loose and are shedding white rubber bits. This is presumably due to sun exposure, but that should be expected with a product like this. Visormates sells replacement bands, but they are overpriced ($12 + $6.98 shipping). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mandatory for 2000 VW Beetle! *by T***M on Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2021* I had a 2000 VW Beetle for a while and the crappy built-in visor barely covers any of the door window, and those windows are tall and let a ton of sun in! I don't know if they fixed it in later Bugs but it was a complete oversight by VW. I got the Visormates and strung both of them together and it covered the whole window! My commute had the sun on the driver's side both to and from work, so these kept me sane for a few years. My only complaint is the elastic bands got a little loose after a year or so, so it started sagging. But that was probably my fault cause I don't think you're supposed to string both together, it was a bunch of weight on the far-end bands. But these could easily be replaced with a new set of Visormates since they're cheap, or the thrifty could cut 'n sew the bands tighter themselves.I finally got a new car and will absolutely be buying these for it also cause my new car's visors also do not extend! (cmon automakers!) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and Good *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2013* Have a 2013 BMW X3 which, like other cars recently, has very short sun visors.Design-wise, the BMW visors are short because the center controls on the ceiling are big, with lights, switches, microphones, sun-roof controls, emergency contact switches, etc. When I swung the visors to the driver-side window, there was a big gap letting the sun through, very bothersome. Looking around on Amazon for solutions, found many that only dealt with sun coming in straight ahead of you through the windshield. Where I live, I drive a lot almost due south or north, so morning or afternoon sun blasts me through the driver's side window which many similar devices did not handle. These do.After looking around on Amazon and elsewhere for solutions I found these, liked their simplicity and price and bought them thinking they were inexpensive enough so if I didn't like them, it wasn't a big deal.Compared to other contraptions, I liked the simplicity of this system. I've had them for about two months now and like them. They are easy to slide out and back again with one hand quickly and do the job of blocking the gap I had. The single elastic strap seems strong enough to keep everything in alignment and from drooping too badly. The visor card is light but strong enough to keep it's shape so far, and the gray color blends in nicely. I can still use the sun visor mirror and light when I use just a single strap - I have extras if I wanted a stronger hold but it would eliminate being able to use the mirror and light in the visor.
