The $60 for this Dash cam might have just saved me thousands.I live in New Jersey. New Jersey people, to be politically correct, are jerks. I've had too many close calls with Jersey drivers and their terrible driving; moments that had I had an accident, it would have been my word against theirs.So at first, I bought a different dash cam; 2 of them, 1 for each of my cars. I do not remember the brand of the dash cam. But it was a cheap piece of garbag. One shorted out in the blistering Heat. The other one several months later, shorted out in the cold.So, I bought this one and have had no technical issues. I used to swap it between both cars. Recently, I had an accident while pulling out of a restaurant. By default, the accident would have been blamed on me. My dash cam prove that traffic was a stop and the person who hit me illegally passed traffic. The police said it was a good thing I had it. So now, I'm buying one for my second car.What makes this camera better than some of the others? Well one, it has not shorted out in the heat yet and I drive a Firebird with t-tops. I doubt your car gets any hotter than that (literally, not figuratively). That car is like a mobile Greenhouse. Two, it is one of the cheaper ones that take a 64 gigabyte memory card. Not many of them do that. Motion detect also works really well. I have tested it. My old camera missed a lot with the motion detect. I've had no issues with this one. I set it to record at 720P with audio. You can still read a license plate off of it. But it saves about 24 hours of video. Pair that with the motion detect, and you have several days of video. I am not a fan of the g sensor, because it will end up locking too much video If You jab on your brakes. I turn that feature off.The install is simple. Plug it into the power outlet and suction cup it to the car. I got a little bit more complicated with it and bought a separate 12 volt to 5 volt inverter and ran wires behind my Dash. Don't do that unless you're pretty technical.The only reason I do not give it a perfect score, is because I don't like how the screen faces down and does not retract anywhere else. It makes it difficult to mount the camera, and ensure it is at the right angle. I had to do a couple tests with my Firebird. ### ⭐⭐ Broke pretty easily *by D***O on Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2018* When I was putting on a sun visor on my car dash the cam popped off the window, the mini-disc popped out, and now when I put the mini-disc back in it won't stay in. So since it won't record, it's useless. ### ⭐ Wifi using luckycam app fails on Samsung android cell phone *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2018* I bought this primarily to get the app for the WiFi.
