That's what we use along with the victron app to monitor our battery, solar etc.. The smartshunt is also good insurance for your system and not too spendy. From one J Bird to another I hope that helped. **Q: Will this work with a lifepo4 battery bank?** A: Yes it absolutely will, we (Inverters R US) recommends using the "Custom User Settings" and enter your battery manufacturer's recommended charging voltages which can be found on their website. **Q: what is the mazimum gauge wire it will accept** A: 6awg but its tight **Q: Does this product require a wire to an ignition source or does it sense when the starter battery is being charged?** A: No, it does not require an ignition source, but there is a jumper that can be used to wire in an on/off switch which I have not used. When I want to cut power I do it manually with a resettable DC breaker from either the input or the output side.
