Review: HX711 Breakout Board FIX - Ok, there's about a million of these things out there and there's no telling which have been engineered from the datasheets and which have been copied, and badly. This one is one of those bad copies, I think. To test, check for a connection between E- and GND. If there is a connection then you have a good board. If not, a connection needs to be made. The entire bottom side of the board is a GND plane so clear a spot by scraping the green coating down to copper next to the E- via bottom side and add a solder bridge. Done. By the way, the only way to increase the sample rate above 10 SPS without an external oscillator is to desolder pin 14, bend it up and solder bridge pins 15 & 16.
