Review: Difficult to install but definitely worth it. - The grip sleeve was installed on a Shield 45. As others have stated it was somewhat difficult to slide on but using windex and heating the rubber with a blow dryer I had it in place in about 15 minutes. It was difficult and requires good grip strength to get the sleeve in place. I went to the range the next morning and I have to say it's fantastic. It brings the Shield 45 to a whole new level. I've had no issues with concealabilty or clothing sticking to the sleeve. It's definitely worth the trouble of installation and it's not going to shift or slide out of place.
Review: AN INEXPENSIVE,GOOD-LOOKING AND USEFUL ADDITION TO YOUR COMPACT PISTOL! - I have a Kahr CW9, and while I really like the pistol I dislike the aggressively textured grips. It's a polymer-frame weapon, so you can't just change grip panels. There are various stick-on overlays available, but I initially chose to go with a Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove. Despite the grandiose name, this is just a little rubber sleeve that slides onto the grip. It covered up the worst of the pointy texturing and improved the handling of the weapon somewhat, but it also fit a little loosely, and I constantly had to re-position it. Then recently I saw the Hogue HandAll, and I had to try it. For one thing it looked as if it covered up more of the frame than the Pachmayr, having a "beavertail" that goes clear up the backstrap . The CW9 has a pretty brisk recoil, and the idea of having some extra padding seemed good to me. AND it was available in OD green, which being an old Army guy is my favorite color. So I ordered one....... I could tell as soon as I took it out of the package that it was not going to be easy to install, as it was considerably smaller than the diameter of the grip. However, there are good instructions included, and there are a few tutorials posted on YouTube. One of these was by one of the Hogue family. He said the company philosophy was that a good grip should be hard to put on, so it would stay on nice and tight once installed. In the event, as the Brits say, it wasn't too bad at all. All I needed was some glass cleaner, a pot of boiling water, and a dry towel. I dropped the HandAll into the water and cooked it awhile. While doing this I sprayed the grip frame liberally with glass cleaner. The idea is that the glass cleaner will serve as a lubricant and help the sleeve go on, then evaporate. The boiling water temporarily softens the rubber and makes it stretch easier. So I fished the sleeve out of the pot, sprayed more glass cleaner on the inside, then proceeded to work the sleeve onto the gun. Once the top edges were on pretty well it was fairly easy to sort of push the thing further and further up the frame, using the dry towel and some grunting noises. Once the beavertail was positioned just under the slide it was good to go.I adjusted the HandAll so it was nice and straight, and left it to dry overnight as recommended by Hogue. By morning it was as if it had been glued on- it's not about to move out of position. I haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but due to the beavertail and the fact that the rubber itself is thicker than that of the Pachmayr, I'm confident that it will be a joy to shoot now, with no slippage, Plus it looks nice. The OD green contrasts with the matte black and silver of the CW9 in a good-looking way. All in all I'm very happy with the HandAll. It's an inexpensive complement to any compact pistol.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ DONT CUT BEFORE INSTALLATION
*by T***R on May 19, 2026*

I have tried a bunch of grips of this style but this is by far the best. However, I took measurements of my Kahr MK9 and trimmed/cut off a 1/2 inch from the bottom of the grip BEFORE Installing. AFTER putting on the grip ( it's not as hard as some online videos make it out to be) I realized it would have been a near perfect fit if I just installed it FIRST before making any adjustments. This is an awesome grip at a great price but I ruined mine from trimming it BEFORE I installed it. Don't make the same mistake I did and you will be very happy!
