The best part was the last few pages, when Lola discovers what Beau's plan had been all along. An injured ego required revenge.Since I feel books should be able to stand on there own (not require more books to be bought to find out what happens to the characters one has been following) I don't intend to buy the last two books.I read several reviews of the last two books and was able to determine what the basic outcome was for Beau and Lola. So thanks to those reviewers for saving me $7.98 and a few hours of my time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow , never expected this cliffhanger *by E***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2018* Johnny and Lola are uneducated and dreamers , that is what lead them to except another offer from Beau to spend the night with Lola. Lola and Johnny have drifted apart since her first night with Beau. Johnny can't touch her, but he wants her to get the money. Lola realises Johnny is not the man she thought she loved. All she think about is making love to Beau and how he didn't want her to leave . Lola and Beau fall in love , they decide they want to be together. But a text alerts Lola it was a game about revenge, she leaves Johnny and Beau. But promises to make Beau pay for setting her up. She goes back to Beau and acts like a loving girlfriend while she plans to blindside him. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LOVE *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2015* Night Call is book 2 in the Night Fever Serial. I have now finished the entire serial and have told all my friends how much I loved it. Night Fever (Book 1) had some elements of the story I was on the fence about (I’m not always a fan of the controlling man) and I knew going in that these were books that would be out of the box for me and I am so glad I took the chance on them.Night Call deserves more than 5 stars. Jessica did a supreme job of writing a story that kept you wanting more. The characters were relatable even in a story of extremes. Lola was easy to route for and one fierce lady.It’s an edgy story with no clear black and white storylines, decisions, morals, or question of character. Forget the saying of there is a whole lot of grey. There was grey, green, fuchsia…a whole rainbow between that black and white. The indecent proposal element, decisions made by characters, and the effects within people of excess and absence of money definitely makes me question what I knew.The Night Fever Serial Makes you think about what you would do when faced with extreme decisions and how you would handle the way the people in your life also handle those decisions. Through out reading you question how you feel about the decisions the characters make. Whether you agree with their choices it definitely gets your thoughts stirring. I have found myself in conversations about how I feel about the storyline and plot each and every time I have recommended these books to a friend.The entire serial but for me, especially Night Call was filled with secrets and shockers. UNDERSTATEMENT of the year! I think my jaw fell wide open and stayed hanging there for the entire last chapter of Night Call. I don’t know what I would have done if each book wasn’t already ready for me to dive into. I very well may have thrown my kindle across the room if I would have had to wait to see what happened next. I was beyond shocked and I always like when an author can pull the wool over my eyes.During Night Call Johnny drove the nail into his coffin, for me. During Night Fever I could easily find arguments both for and against the decisions he made but that ended for me in book 2 and I most definitely yelled at my kindle condemning him a few times. He never stood a chance against Beau in MY eyes but during Night Fever I sympathized with him a bit. Nope, not anymore! But I guess that once again brings us back to the fact that this serial will make you think and I’d like to find one person that couldn’t form a strong opinion about at least one thing within the story.I’d like to revisit something I said in my review of Night Fever. I told you all that, “the theme of love was not the prevailing aspect within the story. But it is there; sometimes hidden and sometimes misguided.” Well in Night Call love becomes more prevalent in the storyline. I’m not saying it is now suddenly a lovey-dovey romance but the aspect and idea of love comes more into the foreground; just still wrapped in the mystery and suspense.So I’ve sung my praises. Did you all get the fact that I LOVED this book?! I hope so and I hope that you will at least check out these books to see if it could be something you would love too. This isn’t your typical ‘girl meets boy and boy and girl fall in love’ story.
