Bought an XXL and i am normally a size 16 in swim suits - maybe an 18 at most. The biggest problem is they put cotton padding for a bra??? right below where my collar bones are. My boobs have NEVER been that high nor would I want them to be. I thought maybe it was shoulder pads that went south. That would make more sense. I am hoping this one was an error but not sure after reading some of the reviews. There was no way to remove the padding without damaging the fabric.What I did like was the pattern, it was comfy tho too snug.. It did not hide anything except for the cotton shoulder/bra pads that made me look like a mutant.This comes from China which I was a bit worried about and then having to return it. They respond quickly, not with the greatest english. Returning was not too bad - had to send it to their forwarder. I think return shipping cost more than the swim suit. When the wind blows from the east, we in Chicago and the north shore get warmer surface water that averages about 70 degrees F from July into early October. But if I swim for 45 minutes to an hour, I feel chilled, and this suit prevents that. It's not wet-suit material exactly but it is thick and well-fitting enough to keep a layer of warmed water next to your skin. It also keeps the sun off when you're on the beach, as it's long-sleeved and covers most of the thick.
