And I'm not positive yet, but I think it might be helping with overall hand stiffness caused by my carpal tunnel. These newer G5 units come with only one, and you cannot purchase additional batteries!! I use these in my clinic nearly all day long, but without the option of more batteries to quickly swap out it seems useless. Also once the initial battery no longer charges, or if its defective, they want you to purchase a new one. The unit itself does seem great, and is much quieter than their previous models. For home or infrequent use it is a great tool. However, the company is forcing individuals to upgrade the unit entirely even if it's just a battery becoming defective. It's a shame. Hypervolt is their biggest competitor and they offer replaceable batteries.
