It is easy to install but should not be carried out if you are not competent concerning the safe fitting of electrical items. Of course, it is essential that the mains supply is cut off to fit this switch. You must have an electrical detector that gives a warning sound when electricity is present so you can check to know for sure if the electricity supply is off and the fitting is safe to work on. They are reasonably cheap to buy. I was trained in electronics and electricity so am competent and fitted lots of electrical items in a safe manner over the years. I would not want to undertake this if I had not been taught about electricity. It is better then to get an electrician to fit this for safety. The switch quality is good and fitted nicely in place of my old one. it fulfills its function of switching off the supply to an immersion heater.
