They are 3" long. I would probably get the larger ones for camping. Personally use would stick with bungee cords or carabiners for camp just by as they are sturdier and would keep gear more secure. I would use these camping to maybe hang my headlamp in my tent or hd some of the tent poles for storage. The heads of these are about 1/4 in and may be kinda big for any zippers that I have seen.
