It is impermeable to liquids, bacteria, and viruses to reduce the risk of wound infection. - Suitable for use with chronic and acute wounds with light to moderate levels of exudate. For example; superficial cuts and abrasions, clean closed post-operative wounds, donor sites and minor burns. - To apply, cleanse the wound and ensure the surrounding skin is clean, dry and free from soaps, creams and oils. Select a dressing size large enough to provide a margin that adheres to dry healthy skin around the wound site. They have a soft white dressing pad and the outside sticky area is transparent and really flexible. The transparent sticky bit (it's a "film" means that you only see the white dressing pad unless you are close up so not intrusive.There is a 2-point process of putting these on; you peel the paper from the sticky side of the dressing as you would as when sticking a normal Elastoplast plaster or similar. Once in place and stuck to the skin you then remove a top layer of plastic which reveals the whole of the dressing and allows you to smooth out any wrinkles, if any.These dressings are waterproof for showering and prevent any staining from the wound coming through and marking clothes and ruining bed sheets, etc. They will stop on for days/week.These are the best dressings we have come across and was happy to see them available on Amazon so we could purchase by non-medical professionals/companies. For larger wounds they are far superior than the standard plaster which these days seem to have less and less stickiness on them and fall off with movement.One observation only is though they stick perfectly, we would suggest not applying a new one straight after showering or bathing as if you are really warm, anything you apply to your skin will slide off or not stick well. Wait until cooled down a bit. Similarly, if you have use a heavy moisturiser in the area of the dressing, we would suggest putting the dressing on first and moisturise around it to allow it maximum stickiness for the longest time.These dressings are welcome addition to a medical kit, come in different sizes as well as the new Elastoplast Finger strips for finger wounds which wind round your finger and don't keep falling off.Came as a box of 50, flattened in an envelope for transportation, but box was in envelope so could be reconstructed to put the dressings back in for storage in medical kit or cupboard. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best *by M***E on 21 October 2023* I was first introduced to 365 film dressings whilst in hospital recovering after an operation. Couldn’t believe how waterproof they were, I showered several times a day & they remained in situ, fully adhered keeping my wounds fully dry. I decided to purchase more as I was so impressed with their effectiveness. They come in a range of sizes, but found these (5 x 7.2 cm) perfect for keyhole surgery wounds.
