Mine doesn't get cold when turned all the way down.** A: No there is very small fluctuation in temperature and when I turned down is proper cold **Q: What is the difference between the theGrohe smart control box reference 29124000 and 29148000** A: I’m not 100% but I think it is the safety feature with the 38 degree temp shut off is present on 29124000 but not on the latter. If a child were to turn the dial all the way to hot, the 29148000 would allow this change, the 29124000 has a point at 38 degrees which you can’t turn it past without pushing in a button to move it further (and make it hotter) **Q: Do the push button on/off outlet selectors make any noise when the valve opens and closes?** A: Yes it does a slight knocking noise. This is a really lovely replacement with push buttons to select the shower or bath and a simply easy to turn dial to control the temperature. I'm not sure that it was that easy to fit (according to the plumber) but the end result is perfect.
