## Questions & Answers

**Q: is it ok to use on hard wood floors?**
A: I'm fairly certain there were instructions on the bag for hardwoods, but I'm not positive. I used a steam cleaner on carpets, and just mopped my linoleum the normal way and with the addition of Capstar and Program for my dog, we solved a 6 month long flea problem. I'm pretty sure if you have a steam cleaner for hard floors that you could use this product in that. Hope that helps. :)

**Q: How much does this package make when mixed with water?**
A: I put a tablespoon or a little less in 32oz spray bottle. Only use it for maintenance on my mattress, bedding and as a light spray for my carpets. Hope this helps!

**Q: Should I stop vacuuming carpet for several weeks after spray the solution of this product?**
A: I waited a few weeks before vacuuming. I sprayed it all over. I think it's helping kill those little buggers. I'll spray it 2 or 3 times a year. I also bought 3 plug -in dustmite killers.

**Q: Will it hurt leather furniture?**
A: no. just brush or wipe it off.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really works
*by D***R on February 24, 2024*

I have tried everything to get rid of demodex. I mean everything! Pure tea tree oil, demodex hair masks 49.cat shampoo, dog shampoo, sulfur shampoo, flex shampoo and every kind of mite soap there is. Prescription cream. I was desperate so I tried this. I mixed it in water put my hair in a ponytail applied with a cotton ball. Let it dry overnight. Only a few eruptions happened and then I would just reapply to the site. Demodex is gone no more sand (eggs) no more eruptions. This really works! Thank god

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Weapon
*by R***R on July 24, 2015*

WHAT a relief!!! I've lived in this apartment for about seven years, and the frequency of _something_ biting me would come and go. Initially when I reported this to the real estate company they immediately had an exterminator investigate, but he reported nothing. My initial concern being bed bugs...that was a few years ago. Nothing was found. So I ended up reporting it to my doctor, who prescribed an antihistamine and all but suggested that it might be psychological, that in spite of the fact that (as with the landlord) I had provided pictures of the welts on my skin. Also, at age 57 I had never demonstrated any history of psychological illness. I found a new doctor. And I also remember my landlord telling me that in a way he wished they would have been bed bugs, because had that been the case they could have at least known what the problem was.For the last month or so, spring into summer, I’ve been on another up cycle in their frequency. I figured my very last line of defense was ordering more “Rest Easy” an all-natural spray that’s primarily cinnamon oil that I’ve experienced moderate success with. I went on Amazon and ordered a new bottle of that, then saw Dustmite and Flea control, and figured I would try that as well, and finally decided to go high tech and purchased a UV-C wand…an Ultra Violet type C light that’s been proven to kill Microorganisms by penetrating their shell and blowing a hole in their DNA.As fate would have it, the “Rest Easy” was out of stock and the order was cancelled. Also when I was getting the UV-C wand ready, I discovered that I was three AA batteries short of the required four. So the next morning all I had available was the Dustmite. After some quick division, I mixed it per the recommendations, and having laundered everything possible, just before leaving for work, sprayed everything, and I mean everything. Every nook and cranny, every pillow, mattress, sofa and every area of my carpeting. When I returned that evening there was no smell or visible residue. As I enjoyed my dinner while watching TV I noticed something new. The place “felt” clean. Well aware that this could be wishful thinking, I forced myself to remain objective and living there was no one to bounce an opinion off of, but three hours later as I was getting ready for bed, and hadn’t scratched once. I got to bed and slept through the night, not once awakening because of serious itching. It’s now been almost 24 hours and I’m writing this still with absolutely no itching. Also, I would frequently find myself sneezing a lot in the morning…that too was gone. This stuff is absolutely amazing. And to the person that said it’s just over priced borax, well---maybe, I’m no chemist. But at 12.95 for about an eight month supply, I’m not looking for any other product.Since this whole thing started seven years ago, I’ve done a significant amount of research and the bottom line is that millions of people are bitten, sucked on, or otherwise attacked every night, by “something.” We usually don’t know what’s doing it. Fleas account for some, Spiders, No-See-Ums (Valley Black Gnats), and Mites. I have never actually seen any these tiny creatures, only their effects on my body. This is a respectable apartment building, but they can occupy anyplace. In our temperature regulated, computer analyzed, remote controlled world it’s so easy to forget that we share our homes, beds, even our bodies with uninvited guest. In a recent study 8.7 million species exist. And many, if not most, are smaller than the human eye can see. Gnats, at 1/16 of an inch, traverse our clothing for food as easily as we traverse a drive through for the exact same purpose. Our best defense against these little monsters is human intelligence, and an ability to share information. To that end I’m extremely glad to report that Dustmite is a great weapon to have in our arsenal, and that I’m extremely glad to have discovered it. Thank you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ inconvenient but it works
*by L***7 on August 13, 2023*

it's inconvenient having to mix it, keep the bottle filled and shaken, then wait for the spray to dry after each use (on bedding etc); i'm also not thrilled that that it necessarily creates a new type of dust. however, this stuff does work. (i also add a few drops of eucalyptus oil for good measure, since dustmites get pretty fierce in this climate.) after using the spray only a few times i noticed a major reduction in dustmite allergy symptoms. then i got a little complacent and didn't keep a batch ready in my spray bottle so ended up going all summer without using it. now end of summer (starting around dog days) we're having a dustmite resurgence. so again it does work, as long as you use it consistently enough. side note regarding reviews claiming this is a toxic pesticide: it's actually a type of mineral salt that mainly acts as a dessicant at the level of the dustmites. not harmful to humans or pets, but as with any type of powder be careful not to breathe too much of it in. only a small amount is required for effectiveness so that shouldn't be an issue.
