**Q: Is the surround only suitable with loft ladders that don't extend into the loft?**
A: The surround only has three sides. I use a ladder that folds up into the loft.Its a five star product and I would recommend it to every one that has a loft ladder. and is so easy to install.

**Q: Fixing screws what size would I require?**
A: 5 x75 mm wood screws

**Q: Can anyone tell us please what the 8cms refer to in the product description? Thank you**
A: I believe 8 cm is a little under 4 inches  - and if I am correct then I would say this measurement refers to the "feet" of the rail.  Hope this assists.

**Q: My loft opening is approx. 70cm wide by 130cm.  Will this be big enough to go around the opening?**
A: Probably not, the fixing holes are at 72cm centre to centre so would just do but the length is only 100cm so it would not provide a hand hold at the top of the loft ladder, it would be short by 30cm. The rail fits our standard loft opening and we love it as it gives us a lot of confidence going in and out of the loft.
