I opted to sleeve the entire water hose that I was replacing rather than just the small portion that the old hose had in a sleeve. I should have chosen a sleeve that was a size larger as this one just fit the hose, making it a little slow going on because of the way the sleeve tightens if stretched. I learned this the hard way when playing with it before installing it. I got my finger stuck in it like the childhood Chinese handcuffs! Although hilariously amusing, I was a little embarrassing when I had to ask my adult son to free my fingers from the tube! He laughed for a while and couldn't wait to share it with his other brother when he got home from work! My advice to other mothers that refuse to grow up... Make sure you have one of your children standing by if you intend to test this sleeve with your fingers! Otherwise, you may be stuck until help arrives! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly as described! *by R***I on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2018* Does exactly what it says!I was skeptical on the fact that it’ll handle 1100°F continuousWell, I set it over 1000°F for over a minute and the power wires I used looked perfect! Warm to the touch, but not scolding and not meltedShould hold up fine in an engine bayGo ahead and buy this, it’s perfect!A++ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good heat shield *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2020* Power accessories for my motorcycle have wiring that runs from the battery at the rear of the bike to the new accessories I installed at the front of the bike (dual horns, heated grips, accessory plugs, driving lights), and the only way to route the wiring is under the tank/fairing right up close to the engine. This sleeve works well in insulating the wiring from burns from the hot engine --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/56893558-heat-sleeve-fiberglass-adjustable-heat-shield-black-color-10ft-x](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/56893558-heat-sleeve-fiberglass-adjustable-heat-shield-black-color-10ft-x) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
