This thing is super nice. And super beefy. There’s really nothing I could find to not like about it. And in fact, I like it a lot.Now, with that said, as I’m sure you noticed, this pro-style home plate isn’t exactly cheap. Consequently, unless you’re *really* into baseball, this is obviously equipment that is intended for use in a professional or semi-professional setting. However, if baseball is your passion, and you want top notch equipment, then I can see buying this home plate for private/semi-private use too.So, putting price aside, I think the bottom line here is that this is an exceptional piece of baseball equipment that I am near certain you will be happy with. It's made of a very sturdy and heavy rubber that you can tell is built to withstand a lot of rough play. The stanchion and spikes really hold the plate in the ground well, so it's not going anywhere when somebody slides home.
