The Tamiya Lockheed Martin F-16CJ Blk 50 1/32 Jet is a highly detailed static model kit featuring the iconic 'Big Mouth' air intake and a fully replicable F110-GE-129 engine that slides in and out. Crafted with die-cast metal landing gear, rubber tires, and poly cap technology for removable weaponry and movable flight surfaces, this model offers museum-quality realism for adult hobbyists seeking an immersive build and display experience.

## Description

This is the first ever 1/32 scale F-16 model to replicate the characteristic large air intake duct, nicknamed "Big Mouth". The F110-GE-129 jet engine is also replicated in precise detail, and can slide into place on a hook and rail system exactly like the actual aircraft. The entire engine can also be displayed outside the aircraft using the included cart. This model achieves a level of accuracy only possible in such a large-scale work. The upper surfaces of the wings are molded to the main body of the plane in one single piece, creating a "Blended Body" which artfully depicts the F-16's beautiful, streamlined form and proportions. The model features screw-mounted main body and die-cast landing gears with actual rubber tires for extra durability. This model makes use of the mini poly caps to ensure that missiles, ECM pod and external fuel tanks are removable and interchangeable even after assembly. This way, modelers can enjoy depicting different weapon configurations specific to various F-16 missions. Use of poly caps also enables trailing edge flaps, horizontal stabilizer fins and vertical tail fin flaps to move freely after assembly. Requires paint and assembly.

Review: Take your time. - This is a museum quality model kit. It contains a lot of parts. I would recommend following the instructions as they are laid out by Tamiya. There are a lot of part that need to be painted. That's the most difficult part of the assembly process. Having to wait for the paint to dry. No worries. This is model building. Once complete you will be amazed at the finished product.

This is a museum quality model kit. It contains a lot of parts. I would recommend following the instructions as they are laid out by Tamiya. There are a lot of part that need to be painted. That's the most difficult part of the assembly process. Having to wait for the paint to dry. No worries. This is model building. Once complete you will be amazed at the finished product.

Amazing kit, and what an equally amazing price. I have searched for this, and I see it sold for over $200 regularly. I jumped at this when I saw it, and prime shipping too!!!! The model is a huge 1:32 scale, and Tamiya has thought of everything. Metal landing gear, real rubber tires, engine slides in/out, so many options that can be changed even after the model is finished. This is truly one of Tamiya’s premier model kits. The paint callout list is long and extensive but experienced modelers should be able to mix to match reference material. Advice: read ALL of the instruction manual and follow the advice if you are not already at least an intermediate level modeler. Yes, wash the parts. Yes, have your own reference material and photos. Buy a book maybe, learn something. Translate your unique understanding of the material into a model that is your own, and not a copy of someone else’s work. Happy building.
