I read a ton of reviews complaining about the noise. I'm 36 with great hearing ability. I do hear the noise, it's not that I'm tone deaf to it. But the noise is so minimal that unless it's going to be less than 4 feet from where you sleep (and 4 feet is being very generous in a super quiet environment), you're not going to hear any noise...at least from this particular unit. I do understand that even units from this same batch could be extremely noisy unlike mine, but judging from the one I received, I have to say the noise reviews are way overblown. I will be purchasing three more eventually to complete a 4S4P battery setup, so I will update this review once I can compare additional units. As for the balancing, it works great. I confirmed 4 of my batteries were out of sync on voltage fresh out of the box by a 0.13V range. I gave it 2 days on the balancer, and all were exactly the same.
