One to fix the Fuel Pressure Regulator Control Solenoid (aka PRC), and one for the Intake Manifold Runner Control Solenoid (aka VICS). Took 5 minutes to install and solved both codes. Just FYI, these solenoids are used in a lot of different places on the FS-DE engine, and I'm sure they have applications on other Mazda engines from the mid-90s up until the mid 00's. In the Protege5, this same solenoid is used for EGR, VTCS, VICS, and PRC among others. Might as well buy a few to have them around if you're planning to keep the car long term and it has high miles. It works for a lot of the solenoids on my mazda recently found out you could switch the little black filter by pulling it off so other ports can be used. That is the only difference for my emission control solenoid and fuel pressure control solenoid. I had a run issue on my Probe GT, after warmed up, especially on these 100 degree days. It raises fuel pressure, preventing Vapor lock. Signs of this can be from surge at steady throttle on freeway, to a dead miss. The end cap can be moved, as I said in video its how convert it from the VRIS to PRC. If your VRIS on the 2.5L is not working, you'r missing out. Really wakes the engine up. PRC is 5 star for ease to install, the VRIS is 3 star, it requires a 10mm wrench....
