We watch a of of movies relaxing in bed, and once the sun goes down the only shortcoming of the TV comes to the fore: the remote is not backlit. When the lights are off it becomes a heck of a time to make adjustments, change channels, etc. I love the original remote's functionality, but only when I can see it. Researched a great bit looking for a backlit remote. Had Harmony remotes and while good remotes we preferred to size and control for our setup that the Sony remote gave us. Stumbled on this remote and the price was great and it was rated as compatible with our set. We ordered it and came in today. Easily paired it with the TV and our night blindness is over. Works perfectly: comes on when picked up and goes off once put down. So far controls every function just like to original remote. A great buy.
