This was purchased to replace the cheaper gooseneck model with a plastic smaller lens. The lens, by the way, which was not the strong 10 X magnification that this one is. I’m doing some very fine lace knitting, with very small diameter, knitting needles. This magnifier is ideal. I love that I can use the heavy stand, which is large enough and well weighted. There’s no tipping over with this! Everything is perfect on this. Where the buttons are for the light and what kind of light, and that the goose neck adjust easily and holds its place. p.s. Photo shows the weight I am using when goose neck has to be extended.
