## Description

Magikmold P-560 is a firm (Shore A60), platinum-cured, two-component silicone rubber designed for making flexible molds with excellent dimensional stability. This is a pourable rubber, but it can be easily thickened with silicone thickener (not included) for brush-on application. Magikmold P-560 molds are commonly used to cast: Wax, Urethane (polyurethane), Plaster, Concrete, Epoxy Resin and Soap. - PHYSICAL PROPERTIES - Type: Platinum-cured (addition-cure). Mix Ratio by Weight: 1 Part Catalyst : 10 Part Base. Shore Hardness: A60. Pot Life: 45 min. Demold Time @ 77°F: 16 hr. Cured Color: Blue. Mixed Viscosity: 40,000 cP. Specific Volume: 21.3 in³/lb. Specific Gravity: 1.3. Tensile Strength: 700 psi. Elongation: 275%. Die B Tear Strength: 85.0 pli. Die T Tear Strength: 45.0 pli. Linear Shrinkage: Nil.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this require degassing ? Or can it be poured directly after mixing?**
A: It is best to degas.  I have a little vacuum unit and just degas for 10 minutes or so.  Nice material.  Still can get air pockets if you don't force the material in corners are inject into a mold with a syringe with a little pressure.  I also talked to the guys and found that you can cure in the oven at 150F in 1 hour!  Awesome!
