As costume, it will be fine for Renaissance Fairs and so on. I was really amazed with the fast, free shipping. Arrived 3 days after ordering...and shipped from India. Amazingly quick turnaround.For the price (I purchased for $45) it's a real bargain. Even at current price of $59, it's still a good deal. It's 18g steel, so certainly not "battle ready".The black finish is okay...but I will be sanding it down to more of an "antique" look. The liner is faux leather, but that's okay.All-in-all, I'm very pleased with this helmet.
