Review: Really effective and safe and handy - Everywhere I go moms and grandmoms ask me where I got this. They are not as common in stores as they were for a time. Some people get very offended like our children are being treated like dogs... But I can only assume those people didn't have toddlers that Run and disappear in a second. These things Save our children from all kinds of terrible and our minds from the distress when one takes off and disappears. The harness design causes No Harm to the children even if they are trying very hard to take off, and they can't get out of it. They could wrap up in the lead if we aren't paying attention and they are deciding to try turning around a million times to get out. But, of course having them on this does Not mean we are not paying attention. It just means they can't run off the moment our attention is to pick out the right grocery item on the shelf, Etc. The different animal designs is a plus because it makes them cute and they are also part of the zippered pocket on the back to keep little needed things. The zipper has never went bad on me nor Any part of this set up. Everything is in great condition with no show of wear. We use it often and have for about a year now. I also wash and dry it in the regular washer and dryer with no problems or added wear. I dry less often in the dryer for such things though just in case, dryer usually does more harm to items. But this is seriously a great item. The extra straps for wrists seem like a good idea for when the walker/toddler gets older and doesn't sprint off in the same way with the same impulsive abandon. Mine was too young for that when he started walking and wiggling out of my arms at one years old. I'd say now at 2.5 he's getting closer to only needing that and it might be ok now and certainly by 3. But I've already lost that part of this get up when I realized it would Not work for him in the beginning. So if that happens to you, keep up with that extra wrist band part because it might be perfect later when they are better at staying near. **Q: Can this fit a 4’10” 17 year old?**
A: I purchased this for my 3 year old and it fits great. Since you asked I tried it on my 8 year old. He is a little smaller than 4.5ft around 55lbs.  This is what it looked like on him.  I dont have a video I took pics. It did "fit him" the straps were able to be adjusted and have about 1.5 inch of slack around the chest.

**Q: Is the length of the strap adjustable?**
A: Comes with 2 straps. The cloth strap is not adjustable but it is easy to wrap it around your hand to shorten the length when needed. The other strap is accordion and I have not used as I don't think you could easily adjust the length to which it would extent if the child was pulling on it.

**Q: Going camping and are curious the weight resistance of the chest buckle on the backpack? We’re taking a hiking trail with no cliffs but just incase.**
A: It might hold 10 pounds at best.  The stitching around the harness comes apart easily, and the clip holding the leash is not very rugged.  Look into getting an actual cliff climbing safety harness that is rated to hold suspended weight.  Your toddler's life depends on it.

**Q: Is it reflective?**
A: No ma'am, it is not reflective.

I’ve been using this harness with my son for years, and he is now 5 years old and we still use it. It has been very helpful, especially when we are in busy or crowded places where I want to keep him close to me. I really like the design, it’s comfortable for him to wear, and it gives me extra peace of mind while we’re out. It has held up very well over time. Okay I have a 4yo daughter and she at the time was so easy but I thought “so hard”. I saw parents with toddler leashes and in my head was like I would never do that to my kid, you’re being a lazy (very ignorant of me). Then, my 1yo son came along and boy was that a wake up call. He’s my wild child lol. He hates a car seat, hates a stroller, hates being carried, hates anything that confines him. He also isn’t the child that follows me if a lot is going on. So, this past week, my daughter had vacation Bible school and he was all over the gym. Especially with this heat wave, I was sweating and panting trying to constantly pull him back from where he was trying to go, then trying to get him to not scream when I held him back. So day before yesterday, I said I’m trying the leash. It got here today and let me say, I wish I had gotten this MONTHS ago. 1) so easy to put on him and take off 2) small and lightweight so I can easily fit in the net back of car seat 3) love the pouch to keep snacks 4) the bungy cord doesn’t “snap” him back if he goes to far. At first, he didn’t like it because he thought he couldn’t move but when he figured it out he loved it! He was able to move freely and I could finally stop pouring in sweat chasing after him 😂 Please, please get this. I’m even thinking of getting one for my daughter for theme parks or something, just so she doesn’t get so excited and runs off and/or also to keep her from getting snatched by creeps. Also, I know this was a long review but I never leave reviews so this was worth it. (Ps: vacation Bible school lasted all week and of course the day I received this...I forgot his shoes so please don’t judge me lol)
