It works great on logs less than 12 inches. **Q: How well does this work with smaller diameter logs? I purchased a Roughneck Timberjack which works great for large logs but not smaller.** A: Haven't used on small logs that I can lift. If I can't lift I use it, if nothing else to allow placing something below so I can safely cut. Hope this helps **Q: Where is this made?** A: China **Q: Will the hook swing out of the way for milling?** A: The hook swings back until contacting the wooden handle...perhaps just about 135 degrees.
