Review: First impression - This bench is awesome. Ive wanted one for a long time. My parents have some up north made from wood and they are the coolest most valuable seating options available. Not sure yet where we will keep this, but for now, its on the patio so we can sit and look out at the kids playing in the yard (: My kids are hype about having snacks on it. Its very sturdy, there is zero wobble. It didnt take two people to build it by any means. I did it myself no problem. The hinges are the most time consuming aspect of the assembly but straight forward and simple. I did use my own tools rather than the ones they provided and that eliminated alot of frustration, I'm sure. It moves easily, i love that there is a simple lever to switch it from bench to table. Even my 5 year old can do it (: the best part, be far, is that when there is no bar to climb over when you convert it to the table. You can just slide right in. This grants more space for additional people. Can comfortably fit 4 kids on this bench, or 3 adults (: Fingers crossed it lasts a "lifetime"

**Q: How tall is this when used as a table?**
A: 29 1/2” as table 35” as bench

**Q: What tools will I need to assemble it?**
A: Alen wrench, pliers, screw driver

**Q: Up against a wall, how far would the front edge of the seat extend out from the wall? More than the 14.2 inch seat width?**
A: Yes, it would be more than the seat width because you would have to accommodate the lower frame too. I measured my unit and it is 31" from the back of the metal frame to the front edge of the seat.

**Q: I need to understand how the tilt mechanism works. A photo or video is most welcome. Thanks a lot.**
A: On each end of the table/backrest on the bench side is a spring loaded release lever.  Lifting the lever allows the table to be switched between positions.  It is very easy to operate.

This bench is awesome. Ive wanted one for a long time. My parents have some up north made from wood and they are the coolest most valuable seating options available. Update Update Update Absolutely the best convertible bench money can buy in the absolutely best company based in the USA in Utah the great state of… Buy American as much as the company is based in USA represents great product well engineered ergonomically just the right size just the right weight perfect. OK, received the convertible bench no issues overall with it. I like it. It’s sturdy and well-made. However, I received with a very unusual break. It looked like it had been dropped on a very sharp or something. Hit it or broke it in packaging. I don’t know. ?!! This is a very bulky difficult to return so better to replace(I thought) so a problem like this is a very big frustration and hassle So know …..if you have a problem with one of the boards or customer service seems to be smooth, but it should be an easy replacement. It is not …..the boards are difficult to replace or at least from Lifetime…., and the benefit of Amazon refunding a small portion did not count for the hassle in trouble to purchase from customer service at lifetime. It does not take away the quality of this product just be aware boards can be replaced and probably should at some point, but you would not expect to have an additional cost from a brand new item… Forgive and Grace for the frustration if this is normal. I’m not angry. I love it but my goodness just to get a board . !!!!!
