The bee pollen in this bottle seems to be fresh, as the granules are very soft. However, these are the most sour tasting granules I've ever tasted. I don't know enough about the collection of the pollen to understand why it is so sour tasting. It's almost to the point where I don't want to eat it but I'm "manning up" and continuing to take it. I was a bit concerned at first that it may be spoiled and would make me sick but I've been taking it for a few days now and have had no ill effects from it.
