I'm looking for brushed stainless.** A: The finish is bright chrome it's chrome plated over brass which will keep it from ever rusting it will compliment a brushed stainless finish much like a chrome faucet would with a brushed stainless steel sink. If you want a closer match there are other options through Amazon. **Q: Which side of the sink should the o-ring be placed on?** A: I bought them, but a plumber installed them. If you look at these on YouTube being installed they all seem to be having the o-ring on top. That is logical because the water will come from the top and drip to gravity. The source of top should be the stopping point. Some on YouTube have the o-ring built in and they are also on top. **Q: What it the diameter of threaded portion? I need it to fit through a 1/2 inch hole.** A: Bolt outside diameter is 0.46” of inch It will fit 1/2” hole with 0.04” clearance Measure the hole.
