Easy instructions ### ⭐⭐⭐ Initially I was very happy with the results *by S***Z on March 29, 2016* I saw a video tutorial on how to use this stuff on Youtube, and decided that I just had to try it on a pair of Chuck Taylors. Initially I was very happy with the results, however, after wearing the Chucks one time just a little bit of moisture caused the film to lift in a lot of places. I realized that the problem is the glue that is provided. The glue will dissolve with just a little bit of moisture, possibly even swear. So my first piece of advice is to absolutely NOT use the Elmer's glue. With that said, I bought some white canvas and experimented with different types of glues and adhesives to find what would work well and be somewhat water resistant. My second choice is Mod Podge Outdoor. Very easy to use and held well and even after soaking a swatch of canvas with the film glued to it, it held way better than the Elmer's. My number once choice is E6000 Fabri Fuse. You can find it at Hobby Lobby as well as on Amazon. A 2 oz bottle was $3.99 at Hobby Lobby. I used the squeeze tube, not the spray. It brushes on very easy with a decent brush and spreads incredibly well,..it does not dry so fast that you have to rush to get the film on accurately. This stuff is made for use as a fabric adhesive, so it should stay flexible and hold well after exposure to water. I soaked a swatch of canvas with the film glued to it and it was very difficult to pull up a corner or edge or to get it to lift at all. I deducted two stars because of the very poor performance of the glue that was provided. Overall I am happy with this product and ordered two more packs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don't like regular canvas sneakers *by R***L on August 11, 2014* I'm probably late to the party, but only recently discovered this stuff while I was trolling the interwebs for ideas on how to decorate my shoes. I watched a youtube video and was somewhat dubious, so ordered only one pack (which has 8 sheets, by the way). I got two pairs of shoes out of one pack and am back to order another! So - first off, if you want it to look at all decent, it's going to take a lot longer to apply this stuff than the videos would have you believe. It's not difficult, just fiddly. Mind you, maybe my shoes have more details on them than others. I don't like regular canvas sneakers, which are pretty plain so don't have much in the way of detail to work around. I'm doing this stuff on regular go-walk etc Skechers, which are quite detail-y. Second, they don't give you enough glue. I don't think I'm being outrageous with my glue usage, but one stick just isn't enough. You really need two or more sticks. This is inconvenient of course, but since the glue in question in Elmer's "extra tough" (I don't remember it's real name, but the descriptor indicates one level up from garden-variety), you can easily get it from a big box office supply place. The ultimate question is whether it works though, right? First, on my inkjet printer the images came out just fine (although with each sheet I printed i got a tiny touch of black ink dumped at the end of the sheet, but not on the image. Don't know if that's a paper or printer issue.) Peeling the sheets off requires nails (as in, the ones on the end of your fingers), but nothing more than you're expect. Putting it on the shoe seems nerve-wracking at first, but it's actually pretty straight-forward and forgiving. You can move it if you need to within a minute or so, and it stretches pretty nicely around curves. It might be my skill level, or lack thereof, but I haven't managed to get it completely smooth over the toe area, but ultimately I've found you don't really see the little wrinkles. I've done two pairs so far - the first pair probably had a few days to cure before I actually wore them, and they weathered the trip well. I walk over 5 miles a day, and these were as good as new. The second pair I just left overnight, and they are also weathering the walking very well.
