I purchased 6 (2 each of the product for each tree) and hung them from the branches. 1 week before my trip, I tested the flow rate to ensure I had it set correctly so that the water flow would last. The flow rate of 50 was ideal. I have an outdoor camera that during my trip I checked periodically to check how much water was left in each bag. The bags worked as designed and slowly dispensed a trickle of water which you could clearly see drip into the root system. I positioned each stake so that the stake was 1) securely placed in the soil in the pot and 2) dripping water into the hole I dug next to each stake. I also purchased some moss to cover the soil exposed to the sun to minimize moisture evaporation. When I returned, all 3 trees were alive and only 1 of the 3 had some yellow leaves which eventually dropped and were replaced by green leaves. The flow rate set to 50 actually lasted a total of 9 days. They are easy to set up and connect. When setting them up, be sure to allow sufficient length for the lower tubing that connects to the stake. That is important! When you fill each bag, the lower portion of the stake will rise up! Luckily they provide more than enough plastic tubing in case you need to re-cut the lower tubing portions!
