Very easy to put together too. There are only 2 height options, either fully down, or fully up, which is quite high, luckily it is the perfect height for me, but if you wanted it in between, you will probably have to drill new holes in the metal legs to do that... The wood is nice and solid and thick, it has a very fine layer of varnish or lacquer on it, or something like that. I had hoped it was not treated so that I could stain it, but I won;t be able to stain over the finish that is on it, I could probably varnish it when it needs doing again, or, I guess I could sand it down and then stain it. It is not treated on the underside. Overall I am very happy with it for what I needed it for, very quick delivery, and, I was so pleased I went back and bought another one. We had a problem in that the table was damaged on route to us, we dealt with the company who supplies the table, after submitting photographs of the damage, this was quickly resolved.
