Secondly have a strong wire mouse proof floor which ideally should be around a foot off the floor. This cuts right down on cleaning out as most droppings fall through the wire. I whistle to my ten canaries every time I feed them and they never try to escape from the lower door. **Q: how many feet high is it and is it too big to in kept indoors in a living room ?** A: Bout 5 ft at highest point .. If u have a big room then yes it could go indoors if u put flooring down underneath . It's a lovely aviary **Q: Will this aviary be big enough to house 4 cockatiels?** A: Yes. I have 6 budgies & 2 cockatiels. To build 2nd cage over door is hard as you can't open doors cos of frame. Would have to adapt or go over roof. I'm 5'4" & can stand up in middle. Is cramped tho to get in and out **Q: Is it suitable for parrots like Alexandrine parakeets as they chew on wood?** A: I think it may be a bit small for alexadrine parakeets. Great quality & very solid once roofs on. We raised ours with treated decking boards, with wire mesh on the bottom & gravel on top of that. We also made a door safety area very cheaply & blocked off three back panels. Added nest boxes, toys, swings etc moved the budgies in & they’re in their element. We’re very pleased with purchase.
